This is Ready the rack, post 1.
Hello, dear readers!
My name is Aditya Chandrasekhar. I am a university student in India. The reason I started this Substack is to express myself while practicing writing. I am hugely inspired in thinking by Scott Alexander of Astral Codex Ten, and Erik Hoel of The Intrinsic Perspective. In science, I am inspired by Razib Khan of Unsupervised Learning, and Emil O. Kierkegaard of Just Emil Kirkegaard Things. This Substack is about readying the mind for the world. This means being rational, and learning to accept the world as it is. My opinion is that most of our problems are caused when we have unrealistic expectations about ourselves. The only way to be free is to get rid of these expectations, about us or others.
This Substack will host my opinions on various things, where I try to be rational. I do not promise that I would be fully free of bias, but I do promise that I would try my best. This Substack is for people who would like to adjust their worldviews, and make their map match the territory (some Less Wrong Jargon here). I want this to be an Idea Lab (and some Tim Urban jargon there) and am generally pro - free speech. But I will censor any overly hurtful comments, and what are hurtful are for me to decide. Thank you for reading my Substack; I hope you find this worth your time.
See you again!
